AI limitations
Read this before making a decision with MARA.
MARA's intelligence layer is a general-purpose AI model. MARA adds Montreal-specific prompts, application logic, deterministic calculations, response validation and configured methodologies around it — but the underlying interpretation is still produced by a language model.
- AI-generated analysis can contain errors, including confident-sounding ones.
- Estimates are not guarantees.
- Property values produced by MARA are not professional appraisals.
- Renovation estimates are not contractor quotes.
- Investment scores are analytical tools, not guarantees of return.
- Risk analysis is not a building inspection.
- Offer analysis is not legal or brokerage advice.
How MARA reduces the risk
- All AI output is validated against a strict schema before it is displayed.
- Malformed responses are repaired or retried, and the analysis is marked as degraded if it needed a retry.
- Rankings, subtotals, contingencies and totals are calculated in application code, not by the model.
- All currency is formatted by the application, never by the model.
- Failed analyses are never charged: credits are refunded automatically.
