Municipal and school taxes, and what Verified / Imported / Estimated mean.
MARA tries to fill municipal and school taxes automatically. It records where each figure came from, and shows that provenance next to the number.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Verified | Taken from an authoritative municipal or school-board source. |
| Imported | Stated on the listing page MARA imported. |
| Estimated | Derived by MARA from the property value using configured regional rate assumptions. Treat as approximate. |
| User-provided | You typed it in. MARA never overwrites it. |
| Unavailable | MARA could not determine it. It is shown as unknown rather than guessed. |
Note
Municipal and school taxes are always annual amounts and are always displayed with "/ year". Condo fees are always monthly and displayed with "/ month".
