How MARA scores properties
The single 0–100 scale and the band labels used everywhere in the product.
Every score in MARA is on the same 0–100 scale and uses the same band labels. A score is always shown with its scale ("/100"), its band label, and an explanation of what that particular score measures.
| Range | Label | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 90–100 | Exceptional | Very strong result under the criteria being measured. |
| 80–89 | Very Strong | Clearly above average for the criteria being measured. |
| 70–79 | Strong | Good result with limited reservations. |
| 60–69 | Moderate | Acceptable but with meaningful trade-offs. |
| 50–59 | Below Average | Noticeable weaknesses under the criteria being measured. |
| 40–49 | Weak | Significant weaknesses. |
| 0–39 | Poor | Poor result, or too little data to support a better score. |
Scores are not comparable across types
A Property Score of 65 and an Investment Score of 90 for the same property is not a contradiction. It means the property's overall characteristics are moderate, but it looks particularly attractive when judged purely as an investment. Never read one score as a substitute for another.
Inverted scales
Risk Score and Inspection Risk Score are inverted: higher means more risk. MARA labels these explicitly and colours them accordingly so a high number is never mistaken for a good result.
